He lined up multiple suitable interviews for me in a really short time window and helped me get a really good offer. One of the worst rec to recs I have been in contact with, the experience goes back a couple of years, I didn't leave feedback at the time but it is something that has always stayed with me. Spent a few weeks working with these guys while looking for a new job, I went into detail into the sort of companies and markets I was interested in, yet I was constantly put forward for jobs which had no relevance to what what I wanted to do, non relevant markets etc, the person I was in contact with Elliott would get very frustrated and tell me I wasn't being enthusiastic in the interviews whilst sending me for jobs I had no interest in being put forward for. Each time I was pitched an opportunity I was honest and would say that I am not interested in this one, yet would have my ear chewed off about it and be convinced to go for the interview anyway, understandably I wouldn't get the job, the feedback from Elliott would be that I wasn't enthusiastic enough, he even said 'I am not sure recruitment is the industry for you, you aren't enthusiastic enough, you aren't selling yourself. Recruitment was the industry for me and still is, yet I was being sent for jobs I had no interest in, why should I be enthusiastic about a job and sell myself if I have no intention of working there, he was frankly quite rude in all honesty, I was going to complain about the consultant I was working with but then saw he was the MD so left it, however the service wasn't good at all, I wouldn't recommend, he clearly cared more about making a placement and earning the commission rather than placing me somewhere I actually wanted to work.
Worked with someone called Hayley a few years ago around 2017/18. Changed Sector, constantly not listened to and still offered jobs in the sector I was leaving. All the jobs were over an hour travel despite my requirements being under and hour and the 1 company I did interview with then proceeded to tell me everything Hayley had told me about them and vice versa was incorrect. I've been working in the industry for 10 years, I know how it works but this company ticked every box for me, it's unfortunately Hayley had tried to convince me otherwise once they didn't want to pay their 20% fee for a candidate such as myself who informed me "hayley hadn't even sent them my CV". This experience is solely why I'll never use a rec 2 rec again and I'd advise others doing the same.
